Meet the Creator
Naa-Shorme is an educator, writer and creator of Write to Live. She is a huge fan of God, family, wine, Shondaland, dancing and all things new and exciting. She is a 1st generation Ghanaian American, from New Orleans, Louisiana, raised in Brooklyn, New York (constantly craving crawfish and snowballs). She attended Georgetown University where she studied Sociology and English. After making the typical millennial decision to make change instead of money, she joined Teach For America after graduation and taught in Harlem for two years. She earned her Masters in Education from Fordham University, and is still enjoying life as an educator, writer and advocate for young people. She is currently a Fulbright Scholar in South Africa, empowering students to use their education, talents and voice to create the change they want to see in their world.
